ZEE5 and Google Cloud launched Clips, an AI feature for discovering films and shows through short videos.
ZEE5 and Google Cloud have introduced an AI-powered feature called Clips designed to make long-form entertainment easier to discover. The system analyzes films and television programs and identifies segments that can be repackaged as short vertical videos.
The technology combines Google Cloud tools including Gemini models, multilingual speech processing and computer vision. ZEE5 says it automates work that previously required manual editing.
The companies say the system has produced 13,000 clips from 1,200 titles. The clips are intended to lead viewers back to full-length programs.
For streaming platforms, automated discovery tools offer a way to reuse large libraries while adapting to short-form viewing habits.
The launch illustrates how multimodal AI is moving deeper into entertainment distribution as well as content creation.
