Nvidia will put $3 billion into Meta's equity offering and expand work on Meta's Muse AI agents on Nvidia infrastructure.
Nvidia will invest $3 billion in Meta's equity offering and deepen its partnership on Meta's Muse artificial-intelligence assistant, the companies said on Tuesday, tying the chipmaker more closely to one of the largest AI spending programmes in the industry.
Under the expanded collaboration, Meta will increase its deployment of Nvidia infrastructure, including Vera Rubin systems and Vera central processing units, for next-generation AI agents, and the two companies will work together to improve the performance and reduce the cost of Muse models and agents, which run on Nvidia infrastructure. They are also considering working together in other areas, including monitoring how agents behave.
Meta increased its equity offering to $97.5 billion, the largest fundraising in its history, as it accelerates investment in AI infrastructure, Reuters reported on Tuesday. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom had earlier agreed to buy as much as $5 billion of Meta common shares in aggregate, and Nvidia's $3 billion commitment sits within that fundraising.
Reuters reporting of the companies' statement confirms the $3 billion investment, the expanded Muse work and the $97.5 billion size of the offering, and Dow Jones reporting confirms the Vera Rubin and Vera CPU deployment and the agent-behaviour work under consideration. Neither company's statement published a price for Nvidia's shares or a timetable for the infrastructure deployment, so this report does not state either.
The deal matters because it converts a supplier relationship into a shared financial stake at the moment Meta is asking investors to fund an AI build-out of unprecedented size. If Muse agents become central to Meta's apps, Nvidia gains a large, committed user of its newest systems; if the agent bet disappoints, both companies will have tied capital and product plans to the same outcome. The next evidence will come in how quickly Meta deploys the new infrastructure and what it reports about Muse usage.
