Brazil closed its tour of Australia and India with a 4-0 win over India in Kolkata. Estevao, Pedro and a Samuel Lino brace made the score in front of 51,000 at Salt Lake Stadium.
Samuel Lino scored his first two goals for Brazil as Carlo Ancelotti's side beat India 4-0 in a friendly in Kolkata on Saturday, Reuters reported. The win closed a tour of Australia and India with two victories and a draw.
Ancelotti made eight changes from Tuesday's 4-2 win over Australia, keeping only Vinicius Jr, Danilo and Gabriel Bontempo. India tried to leave Vinicius unmarked on the left and trap him offside, and looked for long balls to Manvir Singh.
Chelsea winger Estevao opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a left-footed shot at the near post, then set up Pedro for the second. Pedro returned the favor for Lino near the hour, and the 26-year-old Flamengo winger dribbled past two defenders to make it 4-0 late.
Reuters said the crowd of 51,000 at Salt Lake Stadium cheered the visitors as loudly as the home side. No injuries or disciplinary incidents were reported in the match account.
The result is a friendly and does not count in World Cup qualifying. Brazil remains under Ancelotti as it experiments with squad selections.
