Yonhap published the final top-10 medal table after the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games closed. China led with 169 golds, Japan had 83 and South Korea 39. India finished fourth with 21 golds and 85 medals.

China finished atop the medal table at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games with 169 gold, 89 silver and 83 bronze medals, 341 in total, Yonhap News Agency reported from Nagoya on 4 October.

Japan was second with 83 gold, 95 silver and 91 bronze, 269 medals. South Korea was third with 39 gold, 43 silver and 68 bronze, 150 medals. India placed fourth with 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze, 85 medals, level on gold with Uzbekistan but ahead on silver.

Yonhap's top 10 continued with Uzbekistan on 21 golds, Iran 19, Thailand 18, Kazakhstan 12, Hong Kong 11 and Bahrain 11. The games closed on 4 October; the table was still the regional sports lead on 5 October.

The ranking is a final standings release, not a single-event result. Host Japan led the silver count. South Korea's football side had beaten Japan 1-0 in the men's final, a separate match reported by the Japan Times, and that result is not folded into this medal-table row.

No challenge to the Yonhap table appeared in the sources used for this brief. National Olympic committees had not, in those reports, issued a conflicting count.
