Yonhap published final top-10 medal standings from Nagoya after the Asian Games closed, with China first, Japan second and South Korea third.
The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games closed with China well ahead on the medal table, Yonhap News Agency reported from Nagoya on 4 October.
Yonhap's final top-10 list gave China 169 gold, 89 silver and 83 bronze, for 341 medals. Host Japan was second with 83 gold, 95 silver and 91 bronze, totaling 269. South Korea was third with 39 gold, 43 silver and 68 bronze, totaling 150.
India placed fourth with 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze, 85 medals in all. Uzbekistan was fifth with 21 gold and 70 medals overall. Iran and Thailand each had 52 medals, with Iran on 19 gold and Thailand on 18.
Kazakhstan was eighth with 12 gold and 84 medals. Hong Kong had 11 gold and 54 medals, and Bahrain 11 gold and 22 medals, Yonhap said.
The table is a host-city result for an event held in Japan. Yonhap did not, in the standings note used here, list world or continental records set during the Games.
