Crew Dragon Freedom landed in the Pacific on Thursday with Jessica Meir, Jack Hathaway, Sophie Adenot and Andrey Fedyaev after 237 days in orbit.

NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 mission splashed down on Thursday in the Pacific off Los Angeles after more than seven months on the International Space Station, the agency said in release 26-083. SpaceX Crew Dragon Freedom carried NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.

NASA said the crew returned at 8:34 a.m. Pacific time. They spent 237 days in orbit, completed more than 3,792 trips around Earth and traveled more than 100 million miles, the agency said. SpaceX recovery teams reached the capsule and brought the spacecraft and crew aboard.

Administrator Jared Isaacman said the four advanced science and returned safely because of work across NASA, SpaceX and international partners. He said repeated returns of this kind are what will allow later missions to go farther.

NASA scheduled a news conference for 3:30 p.m. Eastern on 15 October at Johnson Space Center in Houston, where the crew is to discuss the science mission.

The release is the agency's account of a completed landing. It did not list individual experiment results.
