Voters across Quebec go to the polls on Monday to elect members of the National Assembly.

CBC News said polls close at 8 p.m. and that election-night coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. on television, radio and streaming, hosted by Debra Arbec with chief political correspondent Rosemary Barton. Coverage continues until it is clear who will form the next government.

The Guardian framed the vote around whether a Parti Quebecois government would open a path to a sovereignty referendum. Final campaign polling published before election day, including Eric Grenier's Writ tracker updated late on 4 October, had the Parti Quebecois favoured to finish first, with a minority described as the more likely seat outcome than a majority. Those projections are not results.

No official count is available while voting is underway. The election is for the provincial legislature, not the federal House of Commons.

Results begin after polls close at 8 p.m. local time.
