World shares hit a two-week high on Tuesday as oil and bond yields eased. S&P 500 futures pointed to a record open and the Nasdaq was headed for another all-time high.

World stocks scaled two-week highs on Tuesday as easing oil prices and bond yields steadied sentiment, Reuters reported. Futures pointed to a record-high open for the S&P 500 for the first time since mid-August, and the Nasdaq was on track for a third consecutive all-time high.

Yahoo Finance's live market page, updated during the US morning, said the Nasdaq Composite was up about 0.6 percent after Monday's record, the Dow about 0.4 percent and the S&P 500 about 0.5 percent. It said the 10-year Treasury yield was around 5.29 percent after its highest close in 24 years, with the 30-year near 5.66 percent.

Reuters said Nvidia rose about 1 percent in premarket trading, putting it on track for a market value of about 5.8 trillion dollars. Meta and Alphabet also rose about 0.5 percent in that session snapshot.

Goldman Sachs estimates cited by Reuters imply 27 percent growth in S&P 500 earnings in the coming reporting season, with more than half of that from companies tied to AI infrastructure spending. Earnings season begins in earnest next week.

Monday's cash close, reported by Zacks via Yahoo Finance, left the Nasdaq at a record 27,477.31, the S&P 500 at 7,773.95 and the Dow at 51,267.90. Tuesday's session was still open at the time of the latest market notes.
