Samsung Electronics reported third-quarter operating profit of 107.44 trillion won and revenue of 195.25 trillion won, both records, driven by its memory business amid surging AI demand.

Samsung Electronics reported on Thursday that third-quarter operating profit reached 107.44 trillion won, or about 75 billion dollars, with revenue of 195.25 trillion won, both all-time quarterly highs.

The Device Solutions division, which includes memory, posted 106.5 trillion won in operating profit, accounting for nearly all of the total, as strong AI server demand lifted prices and volumes for HBM4 and server SSDs. The company said it is the first global technology firm to exceed 100 trillion won in quarterly operating profit.

Net profit rose more than fivefold year-on-year to 75.13 trillion won. The board approved a quarterly dividend of 4,601 won per share, totaling 30 trillion won, and outlined further shareholder returns. Capital expenditure in the quarter was 29 trillion won, mostly in semiconductors.

Samsung's own results filing and the accompanying newsroom statement confirm the headline revenue, operating profit and the dominance of the memory business. Yonhap and other outlets reported the same figures and noted that the results matched the company's earlier guidance while falling short of some analyst net-profit estimates.

The figures underscore how AI infrastructure spending is concentrating profit in memory makers. With SK Hynix having reported strong results the previous day and Samsung planning further capacity expansion, including at its Taylor, Texas fab, the next test will be whether sustained AI demand continues to support pricing into 2027 as the company finalises its full-year shareholder return plans in January.
