The Jakarta Composite closed Thursday at 6,031.28, down 115.44 points, with nine of 11 sector indexes lower and turnover of 12.59 trillion rupiah.
The Jakarta Composite Index closed Thursday at 6,031.28, down 115.44 points, or 1.88 percent, Indo Premier reported. Advancers numbered 187, decliners 518, and 258 issues were unchanged.
Volume was 57.21 billion shares. Transaction value was 12.59 trillion rupiah across 1.932 million trades. Market capitalisation was 10,606 trillion rupiah, the report said.
Nine of 11 sector indexes finished lower. The steepest declines were industrials, down 2.86 percent, energy, down 2.77 percent, and infrastructure, down 2.55 percent.
The close is a session result, not a policy decision. Indo Premier did not attribute the drop to a single company announcement. A separate Kontan report the same morning said the rupiah had opened stronger at 17,873 per dollar before later quotes showed it weaker, a currency move distinct from the equity close.
No after-hours corporate action was attached to the index print in the Indo Premier note.
