Deutsche Bank reported a third consecutive record quarterly profit, with after-tax profit of €1.9 billion in the third quarter of 2026 on revenues of €8.3 billion, and said it is on track for its full-year targets.

Deutsche Bank reported a third consecutive record quarterly profit, with after-tax profit of €1.9 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up about 2% from a year earlier. Profit before tax rose 8% to €2.6 billion, and net revenues grew 4% to €8.3 billion, beating the consensus expectations compiled by the bank.

The investment bank remained the largest profit contributor, with pre-tax profit up 12% to just under €1.1 billion, while the corporate bank posted record revenue and increased its loan volume by €10 billion from a year earlier, with customer deposits up €41 billion. For the first nine months, after-tax profit reached a record €5.9 billion, up 7%, and pre-tax profit rose 8% to €8.4 billion. Assets under management reached €2.0 trillion after record net inflows of €47 billion in the quarter, and the Common Equity Tier 1 ratio stood at 14.0%.

Chief executive Christian Sewing said the bank grew revenues in its focused growth areas, captured record inflows in its asset-gathering businesses, and achieved strong volume growth in loans and deposits. He said nine-month return on tangible equity improved to 11.5%, with all four businesses above 12%, and that the performance positions the bank to meet its 2026 objectives, with upside to its target of above 13% in 2028. Nine-month revenues of €25.5 billion support a full-year ambition of above €33 billion.

Dow Jones and ESG News report the same headline profit and revenue figures from the bank's statement, which gives the central numbers two independent published sources. The record is not uniform across the group: the DWS asset-management unit increased revenue 4% to €784 million and net profit 5% to €230 million, below the average analyst forecasts, while credit-loss provisions rose 9% from the previous quarter to €501 million on commercial real estate de-risking and a single Asian corporate exposure.

The result keeps Deutsche Bank on course for its 2026 goals, and the next scheduled marker is a fixed-income investor call on October 29 at 3 p.m. CET. Sustainable and transition finance volumes excluding DWS hit a quarterly high of €32 billion, taking cumulative volumes since January 2020 to €555 billion, a line of business the bank is using to show its strategy reaching beyond traditional lending.
