Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 crossed ₹710.35 crore worldwide in 11 days, overtaking 2.0 to become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, according to trade tracker Sacnilk figures reported on Monday.

Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 has become the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, crossing ₹710.35 crore worldwide in 11 days, according to trade tracker Sacnilk figures reported on Monday. The film, released worldwide on 15 October, passed the lifetime total of about ₹691 crore for 2.0 on Sunday 25 October, its eleventh day, making it also the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2026.

The reported splits are: India gross ₹466.85 crore and India net ₹398.70 crore, with Day 11 India net of ₹25.70 crore, up from ₹24.15 crore on Day 10; overseas gross ₹243.50 crore, including about ₹10 crore on Day 11. The Day 11 India net language split was Tamil ₹17.35 crore, Telugu ₹4.50 crore, Hindi ₹3.15 crore and Kannada ₹70 lakh. Day 11 footfall was about 17.50 lakh, taking cumulative India footfall to about 2.64 crore.

Rajinikanth reprises the retired jailer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures, with music by Anirudh Ravichander. The cast includes Ramya Krishnan, S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Every figure in this report is a Sacnilk trade estimate as reported by Filmibeat, not a producer-audited or official box-office figure, and the headline ₹710.35 crore total is independently confirmed by a second trade report. A tentative streaming premiere date circulating in trade coverage was left out of this report because neither the producers nor the streamer have confirmed it.

The speed of the record is the story: a Tamil film passing the lifetime total of the industry's previous benchmark in 11 days, with the Tamil version alone accounting for the bulk of the Indian business and overseas takings adding nearly a quarter of the worldwide total.

The next marker is close: at ₹398.70 crore India net, the film is nearing ₹400 crore in India alone. Whether it clears that line this week will show whether the record run still has momentum, or whether the eleventh day was its peak.
