The Domino's operator in India reported 26.09 billion rupees of consolidated revenue for the September quarter and like-for-like growth of 4.1 percent at Domino's India.

Jubilant FoodWorks said on Wednesday that consolidated revenue for the quarter ended 30 September rose 11.9 percent from a year earlier to 26.09 billion rupees, about 270 million dollars at the rate Reuters used, driven by Domino's sales in India. Standalone revenue rose 11.6 percent to 18.86 billion rupees.

Domino's India like-for-like growth was 4.1 percent, up from 2.5 percent in the June quarter. The company did not give like-for-like figures for its other brands. It added a net 108 stores in the quarter, taking the group network to 3,820 stores as of 30 September.

In August the company said its Popeyes fried-chicken brand was emerging as a second growth engine and that efforts to revive dine-in and takeaway at Domino's were showing signs of success. Delivery has been the stronger part of the pizza business.

Motilal Oswal analysts, cited by Reuters, expect quick-service growth to accelerate in the second quarter, while elevated fuel and raw-material costs still weigh on margins. The update is a pre-earnings note, not a full profit statement.

The dollar conversion in the Reuters report used 96.7750 rupees to the dollar. No management quote was included in the dispatch used here.
